Darren Kayes - Managing Director
Darren Kayes joined Linear Blue in October 2005 as Managing Director. His experience from forming his own successful small business in the IT sector, coupled with his expertise in Internet Technologies and systems integration made him the ideal candidate to drive Linear Blue’s business forward.
In 1997, with a background in IT and local government, Darren moved to the private sector to set up a new business that offered Internet services (ISP). This quickly became a success attracting the interest of a large American organisation, finally culminating in the purchase of the company, where he continued to run the support division. In 2001, he moved to set up and run another successful business that provided a variety of services from system analysis, LAN and WAN network design and implementation, through to complete support services, working for and alongside many major institutions.
Paul de Hallé - Development Director
Paul de Hallé is the founder and Development Director of Linear Blue, having set up the company in April 2000 to focus on intuitive database solutions and web integration. Paul has a formal education in relational database design and has been a guest speaker at the FileMaker Developer Conference in the USA.
As a Platinum Member of the FileMaker Business Alliance, he is not only a FileMaker Certified developer in 7,8,9,10 and 11; but has also been a key player in the implementation of the FileMaker Certification program since its inception with FileMaker 7. Paul has been working commercially with FileMaker, SQL and various other database technologies since 1987, and is a regular guest speaker at FileMaker Business Alliance and TechNet meetings in the UK, along with being a contributor to Advisor magazine, the leading industry Database publication.
Steve Payne - Head of Business Development
In January 2009, Steve Payne joined Linear Blue as the Head of Business Development. Having previously worked as the Managing Director for Berkshire based Insite Design, Steve brings with him his knowledge of web design, consultancy, marketing and SEO to assist Linear Blue in their expansion throughout 2009 and beyond.
Steve’s experience comes from working within the Internet arena for many years, most notably his expertise in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as one of the key services he introduced through Insite Design and has now brought to Linear Blue. Within his first two months at Linear Blue, he has already overseen the creation of the new Web Design division and also the launch of a number of new software products for the Education Sector. Over the past 12 months, he has worked on behalf of many household names, as well as running a number of SEO based seminars for both corporate and public audiences.
