Moving on from Rapid Prototyping

Rapid Application Development (RAD) is often tied in with Rapid Prototyping, and is the use of iterative development and the right platform to deliver fast and accurate solutions to a client's requirements. In the 1990s, RAD was purely used as a platform for developing prototypes for large solutions (see Rapid Prototyping), but with the advancement in RAD tools such as FileMaker Pro, we can now deliver complete bespoke desktop based solutions in a fraction of the time.

So what was once the remit of large conglomerates and corporates can now help run your business no matter what size, from a single person to a thousand. Of course, this technology can also work well for departmental level solutions within large organisations.
